About this item
The SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL RGB gaming keyboard makes sense for late-night gaming in a dorm or shared apartment, since its selling point is whisper quiet gaming switches. This one is listed new for $35.92.
Is the Apex 3 TKL a good quiet gaming keyboard?
If typing noise bothers your roommates or comes through on voice chat, a keyboard with quiet switches is a good pick. The tenkeyless shape also leaves more room for wide mouse swipes.
- Switch feel: these are quiet gaming switches, not loud clicky ones. Check the description for the switch type.
- Layout: TKL means no number pad, so think twice if you type a lot of numbers.
- Connection: check whether it's wired or wireless and which port it uses.
- Lighting: the title lists RGB. Check the photos for zone or per-key lighting.
