About this item
Retro gamers who want an authentic look will see the appeal of a Compaq FS7600e 17-inch flat CRT monitor. This open-box listing says the monitor is still in its box and looks unused, which is uncommon for a CRT today. Older consoles, light-gun games and vintage PC titles were designed around this type of display.
What should I check before buying a CRT gaming monitor?
Ask the seller whether it has been powered on and how the picture looks. A unit that looks unused can still have aged components inside.
- Ask for a photo of the screen showing an image.
- Check that the input connector works with your computer or adapter.
- Confirm whether the power cable and any manuals are in the box.
- CRTs are heavy and fragile, so ask how the seller will pack it.
At $270, the purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
