About this item
A universal VGA cooler is a cheap way to revive a graphics card with a noisy or failed fan. The Evercool Cyclone VC-RF is listed for Nvidia, ATI and SiS cards. At $9.99 new, it appeals to retro PC fans and tinkerers keeping an older GPU alive.
Will a universal VGA cooler fit my graphics card?
'Universal' usually means a range of mounting patterns, not every card. Measure the hole spacing around your GPU chip and compare it with the seller's photos or description.
- Mounting: confirm the hole spacing and the included hardware.
- Power: check how the fan connects to your card or motherboard.
- Clearance: make sure memory chips and nearby slots won't block it.
- Thermal paste: clean off the old compound and apply fresh paste before fitting.
