About this item
This home server and self-hosting support listing is a service, offered at $60, for people who want to move files, photos or apps off the cloud and onto hardware they control. eBay files it under laptops, but you're paying for help, not a device.
What does self-hosting support actually include?
The title only says it covers moving off the cloud. The exact scope, format and hours are in the seller's description, so read it closely and message the seller before you buy.
- Scope: ask which services or types of data the move covers.
- Format: ask whether the help is remote, written or live.
- Hardware: check whether you need your own server, old laptop or mini PC.
- Access: agree on how logins and passwords will be shared safely.
It's best for privacy-minded home users and hobbyists who are ready to run their own setup.
