About this item
Video editors, developers and analysts who work in wide timelines will find a lot to like in the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW 40" curved monitor. It pairs an IPS Black panel with a 5120x2160 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a Thunderbolt hub. It is listed new at $1,200.00. One curved screen this size can stand in for a dual-monitor setup.
Can a 40-inch ultrawide Thunderbolt monitor replace a laptop dock?
That's what the Thunderbolt hub is for. You connect a compatible laptop and use the monitor's ports. Confirm your laptop supports Thunderbolt or USB-C video, and check the listing for charging wattage.
- Measure your desk depth, because a 40" curved screen takes up a lot of room.
- Check that your graphics output can drive 5120x2160 at 120Hz.
- Confirm which cables come in the box and that the stand is included.
- Ask whether the box is factory sealed.
