About this item
Building or upgrading a workstation on a tight budget? This Threadripper PRO 3945WX processor is listed brand new for $125, and the seller's title states there is no vendor lock. That claim matters. Some workstation CPUs are tied to one system maker's motherboards, so an unlocked chip gives you more board options.
What should I verify before buying a Threadripper PRO 3945WX?
Compatibility comes first. The title doesn't list the socket, core count or cooler details, so confirm everything against your motherboard's support list.
- Vendor lock: if this is critical to your build, ask the seller for proof, such as photos of the chip.
- Motherboard: check your board's CPU support list and BIOS version.
- Cooling: confirm whether a cooler is included, and plan to buy one if not.
- Packaging: look at the photos for sealed or retail packaging.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
