About this item
A budget Acer Chromebook 315 for homework, browsing and streaming, this new 15.6-inch model runs Chrome OS on a Celeron N4500 with 4GB of DDR4 memory and 64GB of eMMC storage, all for $134.95.
Is the Acer Chromebook 315 with 4GB enough for school?
For Google Docs, web-based classroom tools, email and video, yes, as long as expectations stay modest. With 4GB, keeping dozens of tabs open will slow things down, and 64GB of eMMC means files are best kept in the cloud.
- Big screen: the 15.6-inch display suits kids and seniors who like larger text.
- Software: Chrome OS runs web apps, not Windows desktop programs.
- Updates: check how long this model receives Chrome OS updates.
- Charger: confirm it's in the box.
