About this item
Small form factor builders who need a compact PSU can look at the Corsair SF850 850W SFX power supply, which offers 80 Plus Platinum efficiency and ATX 3.1 support. This certified refurbished unit is listed at $123.99 and suits mini-ITX gaming rigs and compact workstations.
Is a refurbished SFX power supply worth the savings?
It can be, as long as the refurbishment details are clear. The PSU powers every part in your PC, so read the condition notes carefully.
- Confirm the full cable set is included, especially the GPU power cable your card needs.
- Check that your case supports SFX units, or whether you'll need an SFX-to-ATX bracket.
- Make sure 850W covers your CPU and graphics card with headroom to spare.
- Ask about the refurbisher's testing notes.
