About this item
CAD drafters, engineering students and small design firms often look for an HP Z2 Mini G4 workstation. This Certified - Refurbished unit has an Intel Xeon listed at 4.5GHz, 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and a 4GB NVIDIA P600 professional graphics card for $499.39. It puts workstation parts in a compact chassis that saves desk space.
Is the HP Z2 Mini G4 with NVIDIA P600 good for CAD?
The P600 is designed for 2D drafting and moderate 3D modeling, not gaming. Very large assemblies may call for a stronger GPU.
- Check the exact Xeon model in the item specifics.
- Confirm the operating system and license. The title doesn't say.
- Make sure the power adapter is included.
- Plan for extra storage, because 256GB fills up fast with project files.
