About this item
Under $900 for a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 makes this open-box listing interesting for business travelers and grad students. It runs an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, finished in black, for $899.98. The seller's title also mentions "12th Gen." Gen 12 refers to the X1 Carbon generation, so go by the 125U chip name.
Is the X1 Carbon Gen 12 with Core Ultra 5 enough for work?
The 125U and 16GB cover office apps, video meetings and research well. Creators exporting long 4K videos will want more power.
- Screen: the title doesn't give size or resolution, so check the listing.
- Battery: since it's open box, ask about battery health.
- Charger: make sure an adapter is included.
- Cosmetics: check the photos of the lid and keyboard.
