About this item
Building a fast homelab or linking a few servers together? This lot of 3 Mellanox ConnectX-5 CX512A cards gives you three dual-port 25GbE SFP28 PCI-E network adapters for $480.00, listed open box. That works out to $160 per card.
What can I do with three dual-port 25GbE SFP28 cards?
Three cards can equip a small cluster, connect a NAS, a hypervisor and a workstation, or leave you with spares. You'll need SFP28 modules or DAC cables plus a compatible switch, or direct links between machines.
- Brackets: check whether each card has a full-height or low-profile bracket.
- Firmware: ask if the cards run stock or OEM firmware, since that can affect updates.
- Testing: ask whether all six ports were checked.
- Extras: no cables or optics are mentioned, so plan to buy them separately.
