Is an open box 300Hz 1440p monitor a safe buy?
It can be a smart way to save money, provided the panel is in good shape. Focus your questions on the screen itself.
- Dead pixels and backlight: ask whether the seller has tested for either problem.
- Stand and cables: confirm that the stand, power supply and video cable are included.
- Scratches: look for close-up photos of the screen surface.
- Ports: check that it has the inputs your PC or console needs for high refresh rates.
