About this item
The Asus ProArt Z790-Creator WiFi motherboard is built on Intel's Z790 chipset and aimed at creator PCs, such as video editing, 3D rendering and photo workstations where a clean, professional build matters. This open-box board is the WiFi version and is listed at $199.99.
What should you inspect on an open-box Z790 motherboard?
Check the CPU socket first. Bent socket pins are the main risk with any returned LGA board, so ask for a close-up photo if the listing doesn't include one.
- Accessories: confirm the WiFi antenna, cables and M.2 screws are included.
- Socket cover: check whether the plastic socket cover is still in place.
- CPU support: confirm your Intel processor is supported and check the BIOS version.
- Memory: confirm whether the board takes DDR4 or DDR5 before you buy RAM.
