About this item
Middle-earth fans building a themed board can start here: the Drop Lord of the Rings MT3 keycaps set pairs the Black Training base kit with the Magma kit. The listing is open box at $80, so the packaging has been opened. That changes what you should check before buying.
What should you check on open-box Lord of the Rings MT3 keycaps?
Mostly whether the set is complete. Keycap kits have many small pieces, and one missing modifier can leave a gap in your layout.
- Ask whether both kits are complete, or request photos of every tray.
- Make sure the caps fit your keyboard's layout. The listing should show which key sizes are included.
- Look for shine or wear, which suggests the caps were used.
- If you collect, confirm the original packaging is included.
