About this item
A mechanical keyboard tool kit like this one from Kono gathers the basics for cleaning and customizing a board: a keycap puller, a switch puller, tweezers and a brush. At $9.99 new, it's an easy add-on for anyone who just bought a hot-swap keyboard or wants to deep-clean an old one.
Do I need a keycap and switch puller kit?
If you plan to swap keycaps, change switches or clear out dust and crumbs, proper tools make the job faster and reduce the chance of damaging caps or switches.
- A switch puller is only useful on hot-swap boards, so check your keyboard first.
- The brush helps clear debris between switches once the caps are off.
- Tweezers help with small parts like springs and stabilizer pieces.
- Check the listing photos to see exactly what's in the kit.
