About this item
Collectors rebuilding a vintage workstation setup will want to see this Silicon Graphics SGI CRT monitor. It's a Sony GDM5021PT, listed in its original box for $2,000.00. For retro computing fans, the original packaging is a big part of the appeal.
What should collectors check on a vintage SGI CRT monitor?
The listing doesn't describe whether it works, how worn the tube is or which cables come with it, so ask the seller directly. CRTs are heavy and fragile, which makes careful packing just as important as the price.
- Request photos of the screen powered on, if possible.
- Confirm which cables and adapters come with it.
- Ask how it will be packed, ideally in the original box.
- Check that the connectors work with your SGI machine or a modern adapter.
