About this item
Retro collectors hunting for a Dell E772c 17-inch color CRT monitor will appreciate that the seller lists this one as working. CRTs are prized for retro gaming and period-correct vintage PC builds, where older games and hardware were designed around tube displays.
What should you check before buying a CRT monitor for retro gaming?
CRTs are heavy, fragile and most are now quite old, so the listing details matter more than usual.
- Ask how it was tested and whether there are photos of it displaying an image.
- Look for notes on screen burn, color tinting or geometry issues.
- Confirm the video cable is attached or included, and that your PC or adapter has a matching output.
- Ask how the seller will pack it, since tubes are easily damaged in transit.
At $380, this purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, which is worth keeping in mind for vintage gear.
