About this item
According to the listing, the MSI PRO A1000PL 1000W power supply is fully modular, 80+ Platinum rated and PCIe 5 ready, which suits a high-end gaming PC. New at $125.99, it leaves room for powerful graphics cards. Fully modular means you only connect the cables you need, so there's less clutter.
Is a 1000W fully modular PSU overkill?
Not for a build with a top-tier GPU and CPU, or one you plan to upgrade later. A basic office PC would do fine with a smaller unit.
- Check which modular cables are included, especially the PCIe 5 GPU cable.
- Confirm the PSU's length fits your case.
- Look at the box seal in the photos.
- Match the connector counts to your motherboard and graphics card.
