About this item
Read this one carefully. This locked Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IAL10 is listed for parts, and the seller asks buyers to see all photos and read the description. At $499.95, it is aimed at repair technicians, parts harvesters and experienced tinkerers. It is not a pick for anyone who wants a convertible laptop that works out of the box.
What does "locked" mean on a for-parts laptop?
Sellers use the word for devices blocked by a password, BIOS lock or account lock that they can't remove. The description should say which one applies. If it doesn't, message the seller before buying, because some locks can't be cleared without proof of ownership.
- Confirm exactly what kind of lock is present.
- Check the photos for screen, hinge and chassis condition.
- Note whether a charger is included.
