About this item
Memory is the headline on this sealed Mac Studio M3 Ultra. It pairs 256 GB of RAM with a 32-core CPU, an 80-core GPU and a 1 TB SSD for $9,900. Machine learning researchers, VFX artists and developers who load large models into memory are the natural buyers.
Is 1TB of storage enough on a 256GB RAM Mac Studio?
It's a deliberate trade-off. The money goes into memory rather than the internal drive. Plan to add fast external storage or a network share for projects, footage and model files.
- Ask for clear photos of the sealed box and its configuration label.
- Ask the seller about warranty status, since the title doesn't mention any.
- Compare against open-box M3 Ultra listings that include more storage.
- Budget for a display, keyboard and mouse if you don't already own them.
