About this item
A Windows XP retro gaming PC is the easiest way to play early-2000s games the way they first ran, without fighting compatibility modes. This open-box tower has an Intel i5 3570 at 3.40 GHz, a GTX 770 graphics card, 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive, and it's listed at $309.99.
Why buy a dedicated XP machine for classic games?
Many older games and mods work best on their original operating system. Keeping them on a separate box also leaves your modern PC untouched.
- Hard drive space: a 500GB HDD fits a big library of period-era games.
- Graphics: a GTX 770 is a strong card for a vintage-style build.
- Internet use: XP no longer gets security updates, so keep it offline or use it only for gaming.
- Open box: read the seller's notes on condition, included cables and installed software.
