About this item
Old games that won't run on modern Windows are the main reason to look at a retro gaming PC for Windows XP and 7. This open box tower lists an i5 running at 3.3GHz, a GTX 770 graphics card, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive plus an SSD, all for $339.
Which operating systems does this retro gaming PC run?
The title names Windows XP and Windows 7, but it doesn't say whether both are installed or how they're set up. Ask the seller for screenshots of the boot screen and the activation status.
- Era-matched hardware: a GTX 770 suits older PC games from the XP and Windows 7 years.
- Storage: confirm the size of the SSD and which drive holds each operating system.
- Online use: XP and 7 no longer get security updates, so use this as a dedicated games machine.
- Extras: check whether cables, a keyboard or any installed games are included.
