About this item
Retro PC collectors hunting for a vintage Sony Vaio PS/2 keyboard can look at this PCVA-KB1P/UB. The title credits it to Microsoft and describes it as never used. It is listed as open box at $55.00, so the packaging has likely been opened even if the keyboard itself was not used.
Can a PS/2 keyboard work on a modern computer?
Many current motherboards lack a PS/2 port. You may need a board that has one or a PS/2-to-USB adapter. Adapter support varies, so test before relying on it.
- Confirm that the plug in the photos matches what your system accepts.
- Check for yellowing, missing keys or worn legends despite the never-used claim.
- See whether the original box or paperwork is included.
- Ask the seller whether it was powered on and tested.
It's a good match for restoring an old Vaio desktop or finishing a period-correct retro build.
