About this item
An HP desktop PC with a 13th gen Core i5 at $459.99 suits a home office or student desk if you don't mind a case that isn't perfect. The seller lists it as open box and says the case is scratched and dinged, so part of the lower price reflects cosmetic wear.
Is a scratched open box HP desktop with a Core i5 worth it?
If the damage is only on the outside, a 13th gen Core i5 tower handles office software, web browsing, schoolwork and light photo editing well. Zoom in on every photo to judge how much wear there really is.
- RAM and storage: the title doesn't list either, so confirm both in the item specifics.
- Where the dings are: check whether the damage reaches the ports, the power button or the drive bays.
- Operating system: see whether Windows is installed and activated.
- What's in the box: check for a power cord, keyboard or mouse.
