About this item
OLED is known for deep blacks and strong contrast. The ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDP 4K OLED gaming monitor brings that to a 31.5-inch, 3840x2160 panel. It is listed open box at $699. It suits gamers with high-end graphics cards and creators who want a large, detailed screen for editing.
Is an open-box OLED gaming monitor a safe buy?
It can be. OLED panels need extra scrutiny, though, because image retention or burn-in from a previous owner doesn't always show up in photos.
- Ask the seller for photos of solid gray and white screens, which reveal uneven areas.
- Ask for the panel's usage hours if the menu shows them.
- Confirm the stand, power supply and cables are in the box.
- Check the listing for the refresh rate and inputs, since the title doesn't state them.
