About this item
For a tidy desk setup, the Keychron K3 Max SE compact wireless mechanical keyboard trades a full layout for portability. Red linear switches press smoothly with no tactile bump, a feel many gamers like for quick repeated keystrokes. This one is open box and priced at $65.
Is an open-box Keychron K3 Max SE a smart buy?
It can be, provided everything is there and the switches behave. Open box usually means the packaging was opened, so the listing details matter more than usual.
- Check whether the USB cable, any wireless receiver and a keycap puller are shown in the photos.
- Ask if every key registers and the lighting works, if it has any.
- Confirm the layout and keycap legends suit your Mac or Windows setup.
- Look for shine or wear on keycaps, a sign of past use.
Compact layouts like this one suit students and travelers who type on the go.
