About this item
Few laptops on paper match a 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Max chip, and this Space Black configuration adds nano-texture glass, 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. It suits video editors, colorists, music producers and developers who keep big projects and libraries on the internal drive. The listing is marked open box at $5,799.
Is an open box nano-texture MacBook Pro a good buy?
It can be a smart way into a top-tier configuration, as long as the Mac isn't tied to a previous owner's account and matches the photos.
- Activation: ask the seller to confirm Activation Lock is off and the Mac is signed out of any Apple ID.
- Battery: look for a cycle count or battery health figure in the description.
- Screen: zoom into the photos of the nano-texture display for marks or residue.
- Charger: check that the power adapter and cable are listed as included.
