About this item
Restoring a 286, 386 or other AT-era machine? This new-in-box BTC 5100C mini compact keyboard uses an AT DIN 5-pin connector, the large round plug those systems expect. It's listed new at $49.99.
Will a BTC 5100C AT keyboard work with my vintage PC?
It should if your machine has a 5-pin DIN port and uses the AT protocol. Early XT-class PCs share the plug but not the protocol, so confirm your system first.
- Modern PCs: newer machines need a DIN-to-PS/2 adapter or a USB converter.
- Layout: compact boards can drop or merge keys, so check the photos for the arrangement.
- Box: ask whether it's sealed and what's inside.
- Legacy gear: it's also handy for older industrial or point-of-sale systems with DIN ports.
