About this item
The Elgato Stream Deck XL is a wired keypad with backlighting, here in black and listed new at $199.00. Streamers often use a Stream Deck to switch scenes and trigger alerts. Video editors, podcasters and office power users map one to the shortcuts they press all day, which cuts down on keyboard combos.
Is the Elgato Stream Deck XL worth it for your setup?
The XL makes the most sense if you juggle many scenes, plugins or editing shortcuts, because a bigger keypad means less digging through folders. Casual users may be happy with fewer keys.
- Key count: the title doesn't state it, so check the listing.
- Software: confirm that your operating system supports the setup software.
- Stand and cable: make sure both are in the box.
- Packaging: look for photos showing sealed factory packaging.
