About this item
This RX 580 gaming PC uses a Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2H motherboard (spelled "Gigiabyte" in the title), 16GB of DDR3 memory, a 1TB hard drive and RGB fans. The seller lists it as Micro ITX. It's priced at $800 and listed as new.
What should you check on an older RX 580 gaming PC build?
Start with the parts the title leaves out. DDR3 and the H81 chipset are an older platform, so the processor makes a big difference to performance.
- Ask which CPU is installed. The title doesn't say.
- The 1TB drive is an HDD, so check whether there's also an SSD for faster boot times.
- Check the power supply wattage and the RX 580's memory size.
- Check which operating system is installed and whether it's activated.
It could be a starter rig for esports titles or a first gaming PC. Compare the $800 price with similar used and new builds before you buy.
