About this item
Need a cheap spare computer? The HP ProDesk 600 G3 Mini desktop has an Intel Core i5-6500T at 2.5 GHz, 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive in a case small enough to hide behind a monitor. Think checkout stations, a kids' homework PC, a basic media box or a lab machine to tinker with.
Is the HP ProDesk 600 G3 Mini still worth buying?
At $149.99 it's a budget pick for light work like browsing, documents and email. The title lists Windows 10 Pro, and Microsoft has ended standard Windows 10 support, so plan how you'll handle updates.
- Hard drive: a 500GB HDD is slower than an SSD. Swapping in an SSD is a common upgrade.
- Power brick: confirm the external power adapter is included.
- Refurbished notes: read the seller's condition and testing details.
- Accessories: check whether a keyboard or mouse is included.
