About this item
A refurbished HP EliteBook 840 G6 is one of the cheaper ways to get a business-class 14" laptop. This Certified Refurbished unit lists an Intel i5-8365U, 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, a Full HD IPS screen and Windows 11 Pro for $213.
Is a used HP EliteBook 840 G6 still worth buying?
For office work, remote learning and everyday browsing, 16GB of RAM keeps it responsive, and the IPS panel holds up well when viewed from an angle. The processor is a few generations old, so look elsewhere for gaming or video editing.
- Battery: check the listing for battery health, since it varies between refurbished units.
- Cosmetics: look at the photos and condition notes for scuffs or a worn keyboard.
- Charger: confirm a power adapter is included.
- Storage: 256GB is fine for documents. Add cloud or external storage for photos and video.
Good for remote workers, students and anyone setting up a second work machine on a small budget.
