About this item
Fresh ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste is a cheap first step when CPU or GPU temperatures creep up after years of dust and dried-out compound. This listing is a new 4 g amount for $1.99. It's handy for PC builders, laptop repairers and anyone reseating a cooler.
How much thermal paste do I need for a CPU or GPU?
You only need a thin layer between the chip and the cooler. A 4 g amount can cover more than one job, depending on chip size and how carefully you apply it.
- Clean the old compound off with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
- Apply a small dot or line, then let the cooler's mounting pressure spread it.
- Check the listing photos to confirm it's the 4 g size, not a smaller one.
- For laptops and graphics cards, follow a teardown guide before you open the device.
