What should you check before buying an open-box Mac Studio M4 Max with AppleCare?
The title mentions AppleCare. Ask the seller for the coverage end date and confirm it stays with the machine after the sale, since that's between you, the seller and Apple.
- Storage: 1TB can fill fast with 4K footage; budget for external drives if you edit video.
- Activation: make sure the Mac is signed out of the previous owner's Apple ID.
- Peripherals: a Mac Studio needs its own monitor, keyboard and mouse.
- Box contents: confirm the power cable is included.
