About this item
This Acer Aspire 5315-2142 15.4 inch laptop is a Windows Vista-era machine with a Celeron 540 at 1.86GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB drive and Wi-Fi. It's listed as open box, which makes it interesting for collectors, retro enthusiasts and anyone who needs to run older software that works best on Vista.
Can a Celeron 540 laptop with 1GB RAM handle modern use?
Be realistic: an older Celeron with 1GB of memory will struggle with today's browsers, streaming and current Windows versions. Students and office buyers will get far more out of a recent laptop.
- Battery: an original battery this old may hold little charge, so ask the seller.
- Charger: confirm a working power adapter is included.
- Operating system: check whether Vista is installed and activated.
- Open box: review the photos and any notes on how it has been stored.
