About this item
Under $900 for a new Gigabyte Gaming A16 laptop with an RTX 5050 is the main appeal here. This $849 listing pairs a 16-inch WUXGA 165Hz screen with an Intel i7-13620H, 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage.
Can the Gigabyte A16 with RTX 5050 handle modern games?
It's an entry-level gaming configuration. Expect it to suit esports titles and popular games at sensible settings, and the 165Hz panel helps fast games feel smooth.
- Storage: 512GB holds only a few large games, so an external SSD is worth budgeting for.
- Operating system: the title doesn't mention one, so check the description.
- Charger: confirm that it's included, since gaming laptops need their own adapter.
- Dual use: the i7 and 16GB also cope well with schoolwork and light editing.
This is a sensible first gaming laptop for students who want one machine for class and play.
