About this item
Building a dark-themed desk? The Drop MT3 Darkness keycap set base kit, part MDX-37139-1, is listed open box for $48.88 by an independent eBay seller. It's aimed at mechanical keyboard owners who want to replace their stock caps with something that has more character.
What should you check before buying an open-box MT3 Darkness base kit?
Mainly completeness and fit. Base kits are designed around common layouts, so extra keys for unusual boards may be sold separately.
- Count the caps: compare a photo of the full tray with the kit's key list, or ask the seller for one.
- Your layout: check that the modifiers and spacebar match your keyboard.
- Switch compatibility: confirm the stem type suits your switches.
- Colors: view the photos in good light, since screens can shift dark shades.
