About this item
Gamers on a budget looking for a SteelSeries Apex 5 hybrid mechanical keyboard can find this black, wired one listed open box at $65.00 by an independent eBay seller. It combines RGB lighting with a small OLED smart display.
Is an open-box Apex 5 with OLED display a good value?
It can be, as long as the listing confirms everything works. If the photos don't show the keyboard powered on, ask the seller about the OLED screen and the lighting.
- Lit photos: look for pictures with the RGB and OLED turned on.
- Extras: check what accessories are pictured or mentioned.
- Key wear: look at close-ups for shiny or worn keycaps.
- Buyer cover: the eBay Money Back Guarantee applies.
It's a sensible pick for a first gaming keyboard, or for a desk that's for work by day and games by night.
