About this item
This custom gaming workstation desktop is listed open box at $800, and the seller pitches it for both gaming and AI work. The title gives very few details, so the parts list in the full listing will tell you whether it's worth the money.
Is a custom gaming workstation for AI a good buy at $800?
It can be, but only once you know the graphics card, processor and memory. AI tools rely heavily on GPU memory, so check that first.
- GPU and VRAM: find the exact graphics card model and how much memory it has.
- CPU and RAM: look for the processor model and how much system memory is installed.
- Storage: note the drive type and capacity, and whether an operating system is included.
- Open box condition: read the seller's notes and photos for wear or missing cables.
