HP Chromebook Laptop Computer 14" 2K Touch Screen Intel N-series 8 GB memory;256

About this item

A new HP Chromebook 14-inch 2K touch screen laptop at $299.99 is a budget-friendly way to get ChromeOS on a sharper-than-usual display. The independent eBay seller lists an Intel N-series processor and 8GB of memory; the title cuts off at “256,” which most likely refers to storage.

Is an Intel N-series Chromebook good for school and web work?

For Google Docs, browser-based classes, email and streaming, an N-series chip with 8GB is a comfortable fit. It is less suited to Windows-only programs, which Chromebooks do not run natively.

• Storage: confirm the 256 figure and whether it is eMMC or SSD.
• Exact CPU: the title says only “N-series”; check the model.
• Update support: look up the model's ChromeOS update end date.
• Charger: make sure it is in the box.
