About this item
A 1.2mm pentalobe screwdriver for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro repairs is the tool many DIYers need to open the bottom case, because regular Phillips screwdrivers won't fit these five-point screws. This kit is new, listed as "25X/Set" for $4.59.
Does this 1.2mm pentalobe screwdriver fit my MacBook?
Pentalobe screw sizes vary between Apple models, so confirm your MacBook's bottom-case screws are 1.2mm before ordering. Searching your model number plus "screw size" usually turns up the answer quickly.
- Quantity: "25X/Set" could mean 25 screwdrivers or a 25-piece set. Read the description.
- Go slowly: small screws strip easily, so turn with steady pressure.
- Before opening: shut down the laptop and unplug the charger.
- Repair scope: useful for jobs like a battery swap, fan cleaning or an SSD check, if your model allows them.
