About this item
Retro gamers and vintage PC builders hunt for a 17-inch CRT monitor like the ViewSonic E771. It is a 4:3 tube display with a VGA connection and an anti-glare screen. Its listed specs are 1280x1024 resolution and 87Hz. An independent eBay seller marks it as new at $665, a premium price for a display type that is no longer common.
Who still buys a 17in VGA CRT monitor today?
It suits classic PC gaming, DOS-era rigs and period-correct builds where native 4:3 output looks right. A modern PC may need a graphics card with analog output or a VGA adapter.
- Size and weight: CRTs are bulky, so check the listed dimensions against your desk depth.
- Condition notes: read the description and photos closely for screen and casing details.
- Packing: ask the seller how a fragile tube display will be packed.
- Protection: covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
