About this item
Tinkerers on a budget, take note. This sealed Intel NUC DC3217IYE with a Core i3-3217U processor is listed at $59.99. The i3-3217U is an older Intel chip, so this small machine appeals more to hobbyists than to buyers who need a daily workhorse.
What can you do with an Intel NUC DC3217IYE today?
It could become a lightweight Linux box, a home automation or ad-blocking host, a digital signage player or a collector's piece. Check operating system compatibility before planning a modern Windows install.
- RAM and storage: confirm whether memory or a drive is included, or whether you must add your own.
- Power adapter: check that it's listed in the sealed box contents.
- Operating system: assume none is installed unless the listing says otherwise.
- Box condition: ask for photos of the seal.
