About this item
A white compact mechanical keyboard helps keep a minimal desk looking clean. This open-box listing adds an illuminated backlight, a wired USB connection and an English QWERTY layout. It suits students, office users and gamers who are short on desk space. The title doesn't name a brand, which is unusual at $200, so do some homework first.
What should I check on an unbranded compact mechanical keyboard?
Without a model name, you can't look up reviews or specs elsewhere. The listing itself has to answer your questions.
- Ask for the brand, model and switch type, and look for a logo in the photos.
- Check the layout or count the keys to see how compact it really is.
- Look for yellowing or marks, which show easily on white keycaps.
- Compare the $200 price with similar compact mechanical boards.
