About this item
Its wooden case sets the Barrett Creative KL-90 Sakura custom keyboard apart from the plastic and aluminum boards most people type on. This open-box hotswap example is listed at $250. It's aimed at hobbyists who like a natural-material look on the desk and want to swap switches without soldering.
What makes a hotswap custom keyboard with a wooden case appealing?
Wood gives the board a warm, distinctive look. Hotswap support means you can change the build over time as you try different switches.
- Ask whether switches, keycaps and a cable are included.
- Inspect the photos for cracks, scratches or wear on the wood finish.
- Confirm the layout and connection type.
- Check whether every hotswap socket has been tested.
