About this item
At $19.99, the GK61 mechanical gaming keyboard is a cheap way to try optical switches. This one is white with RGB LED lighting and optical red switches (the listing spells the switch brand "Gaetron"), and it's marked New.
Are optical red switches good for gaming?
Red switches are usually linear, meaning they press down smoothly without a bump. Many gamers like that for fast, repeated key presses. Check the switch details in the listing to confirm.
- The model name suggests a compact keyboard, so check the photos for missing arrow keys or a missing function row.
- The title doesn't say whether it's wired, wireless or both, so check the listing.
- Check whether a cable and keycap puller are included.
- If you want to change switches later, see whether the listing says they're hot-swappable.
It's a good starter keyboard for students and new PC gamers who want a clean white desk setup. Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
