About this item
Affordable and fast, this MSI 27-inch WQHD gaming monitor (model G274QPF-E2) has a Rapid IPS panel rated at 180Hz with a 1ms GtG response time, plus HDR support. At $129.99 open box, it's a low-cost step up from 1080p for competitive and casual players alike.
Is a 180Hz WQHD gaming monitor like the MSI G274QPF-E2 worth it?
If your graphics card can run well above 60 frames per second at WQHD, the 180Hz refresh rate makes motion look smoother. With a weaker card, you may need to lower game settings to see the benefit.
- Cables: check which video cable comes in the open box. High refresh rates may need DisplayPort.
- Stand: confirm the stand and screws are included.
- Panel condition: look at the photos for scuffs and read any notes about dead pixels.
- Mounting: look for VESA details if you plan to use a monitor arm.
