About this item
Part gadget, part security learning tool, the Bjorn CyberViking Pwnagotchi is a digital WiFi pet built on a Raspberry Pi. It's listed new for $180. It appeals to cybersecurity students, capture-the-flag (CTF) players and hobbyists curious about how wireless networks behave.
What should you know before buying a Pwnagotchi WiFi pet?
A Pwnagotchi interacts with nearby Wi-Fi networks. Only use it on networks you own or have written permission to test, and treat it as a learning tool for your own lab.
- Hardware: the title doesn't name the Raspberry Pi model, display or battery, so check the description.
- Software: ask whether it comes set up and ready to go or needs setup first.
- Power: confirm whether a cable or battery pack is included.
- Buyer cover: the eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
It makes a fun desk companion for anyone studying network security.
