About this item
At $89.00 open box, the MSI Optix G273 27-inch 1080p IPS gaming monitor is an inexpensive way to move up to high-refresh gaming. It lists a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and G-Sync support on a Full HD IPS panel. That combination suits esports and fast shooters on mid-range PCs.
Is 1080p at 27 inches sharp enough?
It works well for gaming at high frame rates, though text looks softer than on a 27-inch 1440p screen. Students and budget gamers usually accept that trade-off.
- Confirm your graphics card supports G-Sync or compatible adaptive sync over the right port.
- Check that the open box unit includes the stand, power supply and a video cable.
- Look over the photos for screen marks.
- Use a cable and port that support 165Hz.
