About this item
The MSI Katana 15HX gaming laptop (B14WEK) brings RTX 50-series gaming in under $1,000. It pairs a GeForce RTX 5050 with an Intel i7-14650HX rated at 2.2GHz, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD on a 15.3-inch screen. It's listed new at $999.99.
Is 16GB of RAM enough on the MSI Katana 15HX?
For most current games and schoolwork, 16GB is workable. Streamers, heavy multitaskers and video editors may eventually want more. Check the listing for memory slot details before you count on an upgrade.
- Storage: 512GB fills quickly with large game installs, so budget for extra storage.
- Display: the refresh rate isn't in the title, so confirm it in the listing.
- Charger: make sure the power adapter is in the box.
A good fit for students who game after class.
